A busy, busy month, mostly with mundane stuff.
But I did attend Fall Coronation on the first Saturday. It was in really far southern Maryland, across the Potomac River from the northern Fredericksburg area. Much of the drive was over two-lane roads, not superhighways. And it rained all weekend. But it was a good event nevertheless. The outgoing King -- the first unbelted monarch to reign over Atlantia since I arrived in the Known World more than two decades ago -- was put on vigil for the Chivalry as soon as he left the throne and was knighted in afternoon Royal Court. It was a splendid ceremony. Even I, who really doesn't get into the fighting culture, got a bit misty-eyed when the new knight was given a white belt belonging to his grandfather, the legendary Duke Paul of Bellatrix. Yeah, it was the onions from the kitchen...
I would write more, but I'm still freaking exhausted from working eight straight 15-hour days as an election judge. Yeah, the work that caused me to miss Battle on the Bay...
